Research Areas

Broad research areas: Non-traditional Stable Isotope Geochemistry, Reactive Transport of Environmental Pollutants (Metals and Metalloids), Biogeochemical Cycling of Nutrients.

Specific research areas:

  • • Terrestrial ecosystem scale cycling of bio-limiting nutrients.
  • • Chemical mass balancing and source apportionment of anthropogenic lead (Pb) through isotope fingerprinting.
  • • Dust based atmospheric deposition: Determination of flux and source identification through isotopic fingerprinting.
  • • Role of chemical weathering and reverse weathering, plant based biological uptake, and reactive transport in determining Mg, Ca and K isotopic composition of surficial aquifers (INSPIRE project)
