The ICU (India-China-USA) Climate research consortium aims to promote strong and active scientific research collaboration among scientists working in key rapidly developing and developed countries to address scientific issues related to climate change and climate change solutions.

   ICU Climate research consortium is co-directed by Prof. Govindasamy Bala (Indian Institute of Science; Bangalore, India), Prof. Long Cao (ZheJiang University; HangZhou, China), and Senior Scientist Ken Caldeira (Carnegie Institution, Stanford, USA). Researchers from other institutions are working with ICU Climate as Participating Scholars.
